Photo: @stephsinclairpix/ @thephotosociety A family enjoys an afternoon before the Jal Mahal or "Water Palace", located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The stunning palace, built in red sandstone, is a five storied building out of which four floors remain under water when the lake is full and the top floor is exposed. Earlier this month, the Rajasthan Assembly passed Rajasthan River Basin and Water Resources Planning bill 2015 for management, development of river basins and sub-basins, and interlinking of rivers from surplus to deficit basins in the state. The bill was passed in an effort to address the looming water scarcity crisis in Jaipur as the city has experiences a rapid level of urbanization and population growth.
